JACKSON TWP., Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Jackson Township Police Department works with the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, operating a Human Trafficking Task Force based in the county.
Jackson Township Chief Mark Brink and the prosecutor he works with, Massillon Law Director Justin Richard, have noticed recent activity in the county by a non-law enforcement group targeting child predators.
And they want their activity to stop.
Though admitting in a joint release that the CPP, or Cleveland Pred Patrol, shines light on the dangers of children chatting on the Internet, the two say the group has no law enforcement training.
And they say their hostile actions toward supposed offenders may impact the ability of law enforcement to prosecute them.
They claim CPP’s actions have led to the loss of life.
It’s not known if that occurred in Stark County.
